Ahmed’s Curry Cafe was first established in 2001 with the desire to bring Bristol the contemporary style and taste of modern India.  We have taken more than 20 years of experience and infused this with our own unique style to bring you the Curry Cafe way of Indian food.

Known to many as the hidden gem of Redland, Bristol, the homely feel with our open kitchen allows you to see fine Indian food being created right before your very eyes.  Our highly experienced head chef and Tandoori chef use their expertise to create the mouth watering food which Curry Cafe is renowned for; one in particular is our Haandi dishes.

The Haandi dish is the essence of authentic home cooked Indian food.  The word Haandi means ‘Big Pot’ and this is what the curry is made in, opposed to a frying pan.  The slow cooked method of cooking allows spices and flavour to fuse together and this is what gives our Haandi dishes its unique flavour.  Authentic home cooked Indian cuisine made by us, for you to enjoy.

Now years from when we first launched we are still going strong and still remain to be at the heart of Bristol’s food culture.  Bringing new dishes such as the Salmon Tawa (number 61) and Haleem (numbers 17 to 19) shows we are always bringing you the original and unique food of India for you to experience.  Ahmed’s Curry Cafe way of Indian food is the benchmark of authenticity and flavour, something you will only find in this hidden gem of Bristol.
